Arizona House Bill 2770, which passed this month, says business owners may disregard any city or county mask mandates for their customers and employees.  Opponents cite science, saying that masks reduce spread of the coronavirus.  The law could open up potential liability to business owners who choose the no-mask option, should a customer or employee become ill.

A 2016 Arizona law that restricts voting by invalidating ballots voted in the wrong precinct and outlawing ballot harvesting is being considered by the US Supreme Court.  Opponents say the law affects minority voters to a greater degree.  SCOTUS will decide on the case this summer, but it is likely that they will uphold the AZ law.
