Deploy messaging and resonates and experiences that last

If your event is going to bring impact, it’s not just your messaging, but how you deliver that messaging. All of your content – text, audio, and visuals – need to contemplate your intended audience first. There is no one-size fits all when it comes to event production.

For example, a software development firm out of Silicon Valley hyping a new video game launch is going to require a whole separate set of design elements than a shareholder’s annual meeting for a corporate real estate law firm in Manhattan.

If you’re event is going to strike the right chord, you need professional grade content.

Who is your audience?

If your event is going to bring impact, every moment needs to contemplate who it is you’re trying to communicate with.

  • Who exactly are the people you are trying to reach?
  • What qualities do they share?
  • Demographics – age, gender, family, social, career, etc.
  • What kinds of people are you looking to attract?
  • What kinds of people do you NOT want to attract?
  • What experiences/backgrounds do they share?

What do they care about most?

Deploying empathy means that we’re really trying to understand what your audience is most interested in learning about, questions they have, challenges they face.

  • What questions do they have?
  • What challenges do they face?
  • What are their hopes and goals?
  • What motivates them?
  • What interests do they share?

What is content?

Content is basically everything that is happening during your event. Everything. We’re talking about the words people are using, the music and sounds the audience is hearing, and everything your attendees are seeing – from color schemes to backdrops to Powerpoint presentations to brand positioning.

Every event is unique, but here are some key elements related to effective content delivery:

Marketing Materials

Before the event, you’ll need to drive awareness and get people excited. Your messaging needs to be consistent in terms of branding, setting expectations, and overall value proposition. Every email, advertisement and announcement needs to align with organizations objectives.

Print Media

Everything from brochures to set backdrops. Anything that is printed needs to convey your message appropriately, in alignment with your brand identity and goals. Sizes, proportions, color schematics, and context needs to be flawlessly formatted and delivered to printers with sufficient lead time.

Signage & Branding

Related to print media with added elements related to the chosen venue, chosen materials, anticipated audience, signage positioning, and branding requirements. Everything your attendees see from entrance to exit will impact their experience.

Scenery & Backdrops

Staged elements can be a blend of printed, digital and audio materials depending on final design. As one of the most critical elements in terms of event look & feel, set design needs to contemplate a wide array of integrated factors in producing the desired effect.

Digital Media & Graphics

Designs to be used on large-scale sets, to Powerpoint slide presentations, to custom branded digital apps or web pages. Powerful infographics can serve to clarify messaging, or clean slide layouts can increase engagement and impact.

Video Production

Video is a boundless medium used to convey powerful blends of visuals, animations, music & sound. High production value video elements can serve to boost impact on-site, and to also amplify reach through social media and online outlets.

Messaging & Presented Materials

High impact messaging rarely happens without careful forethought. Carefully crafted scripting can be a powerful way to ensure presenters are using words that resonate with your audience, remain consistent with organizational values and viewpoints, and eliminate any missteps or stumbles.

Sound & Lighting

Integrated elements like music and lighting have to contemplate every aspect of your event. Where should the emphasis be? What kind of mood or feel are you shooting for? How can these added elements complement everything that’s happening?

Post Production

Perhaps the largest body of content is born from the event itself. Recorded presentations and performances are edited into short videos, snippets, insights, quotes, social posts, long form articles and blog posts designed to broaden reach and leverage your event into attention.

Of course, there’s lots to consider, and none of these elements are happening in a vacuum. They are all interrelated. Be sure that the people you are assigning work in content creation are bringing the right skill sets to the table, and that they also clearly understand the overall vision you have for your event.

Creative design isn’t your thing? Outsource it!

Of course, it may be that your organization has an in-house team of graphic designers who are completely capable of executing all of your visual materials. You may have sound experts, script writers, or video production specialists on your team. Perfect.

We believe in leveraging all of the resources that you have available – especially if it stands to lower your costs and increase effectiveness.

On the other hand, there’s a good chance that at least portions of your content is going to require some professional oversight. At your option, you can lean on any of our 60+ in-house creative specialists to fill in whatever gaps you have in terms of content creation.
